A first appointment with a new stylist can feel like a leap, especially when you’re trusting someone with your hair. I want your first visit to feel easy and unhurried, so here’s exactly how it goes from booking to walking out.

Booking your appointment

All new appointments are booked through my Salon Lofts scheduling page, where you’ll choose your service and time. A credit card is required to hold your spot — there’s no deposit, but the card secures the booking. Try to book at least four hours ahead of your desired time, and for anything that needs a consultation first, give a little more lead time so we can plan it well.

The consultation

For color, extensions, and smoothing treatments, we start with a consultation — and it’s the most important part. We’ll talk through what you want, I’ll assess your hair’s texture, density, porosity, and condition in person, and I’ll tell you honestly what’s achievable and over how many visits. If a big transformation needs more than one session to do safely, I’ll say so. The consultation fee is credited toward the service you book, so it’s never wasted.

Finding the studio

I work out of a private studio inside Salon Lofts — Westgate on S Lamar, at 4477 S Lamar Blvd, Bldg 510, Suite 206 (Loft 206), Austin, TX 78745. It’s a calm, one-on-one space — just you and me, not a crowded salon floor. That’s intentional; your appointment is your time.

How long to plan for

Hair like this isn’t rushed. Plan to be in the studio for a minimum of four hours, and know that a full extension install can run much longer — sometimes most of the day. I’ll give you a clear time estimate when you book. Come comfortable, eat beforehand, and feel free to bring headphones, a charger, and whatever makes the time enjoyable. Settle in.

How to prepare

A few things make your visit smoother. For color, bring inspiration photos — real ones, ideally on hair textures like yours. For extensions, if you’re bringing your own hair, remember a consultation is required first so I can approve the quality. Arrive with your hair in the condition I’ve asked for your specific service, and come with open, realistic expectations — I’ll always be honest about what your hair can do beautifully and safely.

The policies, in plain language

Simple and fair: a card holds your booking, cancellations within 24 hours are charged 50% of the service, and same-day cancellations or no-shows are charged the full amount. Life happens — just give me as much notice as you can and we’ll work with it. (You can find these and more on the FAQ page.)

What you’ll leave with

You’ll leave with the look we planned, clear aftercare guidance so it lasts, and a plan for your next visit or move-up if your service needs one. My goal is that you walk out feeling like yourself, only more so — and that you know exactly how to care for your hair until I see you again.

Ready when you are

If you’ve been thinking about booking, this is your sign. Reserve your appointment and, if your service needs one, your consultation — and I’ll take care of the rest.
